Northbeam Search started as a technical SEO consultancy in 2016 and moved its core offer to generative engine optimization in 2023. The agency runs its own citation tracking across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews and publishes monthly client reports on share of AI answers, which is unusual among the agencies in this index: most report rankings and traffic and leave AI visibility unmeasured.

Pricing is public, starting at $6,000 a month for a GEO retainer, and the founders are named with their prior roles. Most clients are Series A to C SaaS companies and mid-market ecommerce brands; three named case studies carry stated results. The team is 28 people across Sydney and a small London office opened in 2025. Clients outside Australia, the UK and the US are taken case by case rather than as a stated region.
